Does your family want to participate in an unforgettable experience? Do you have an interesting, ordinary family who likes to have fun? Are you fond of people (even if they are different?) Are you interested in other cultures? Do you want friends in far away countries?

Every year approximately 180 German pupils visit South Africa for four weeks during the summer (December – January) or winter (June - August ) on a cultural exchange or for three months (April – July or June – September) on a school exchange. Three month participants have to attend English or dual medium schools. The aim of the visit is to enhance mutual understanding and tolerance amongst youth from different cultural backgrounds. The German pupils communicate in English and are between 14 and 19 years old.

If your family is interested in international contact, European countries, cultures and lifestyle, you are one of the families we are looking for. The FSA is looking for host families interested in hosting a German guest!

It is most rewarding to observe the bonds of friendship visible on the day of departure at the airport!
